Dewa Athena

Dewa Athena is an event in SMAN 3 Bandung where the students could participate in many sport competition. The competition system  is not competing for themselves, but for their own class. So, each class should participate and race each other. There was a lot of games we played, such as badminton, football, basketball, dodgeball, chess, relay race, volley ball, and gobak sodor. Dewa Athena was joined by 10 and 11 grader.

This event was opened in the Volley Ball of Lapangan Bali in Bali street. It was officially opened by one of Dewa Athena committee.

After that, the competition was begun! It’s time to show them  our ability! Let’s fight for that glory, X IPA 3!!!!!!!

On the first day, Thursday 25th March

The first match for us was female Badminton VS X IPA 2. To win this game,  you can have either two or four players on a badminton court: one player on each side, or a team of two players on each side. One-against-one is called singles; two-against-two is called doubles. In doubles, either player can hit the shuttle; you do not have to take it in turns. This match was pretty hard and challenging because most of us played it for the first time. But unfortunately we lost.

The second match for us was Gobak sodor VS X IPA 10. To win this game, we must pass the opponent who block us guardedly in the line. The team which has more survivor until finish line is the winner. But we lost again.

After that, our class sent our representation for relay race. They were Prince and Aulia. Undoubtly, they were the best runner in our class. But, at the match, they unfortunately a little bit slipped.

Then, we played tug of war against X IPA 1. I didn’t play in this match because  there were a lot of stronger player in my class. This match was very exciting. Our solidarity somehow spread out till our bones (hyperbole, hahaha). But we lost again.

Afterwards, our class sent some players for female football match vs X IPA 9. In this match, victory was ours.

The last game for our class on that day was volley ball vs X IPA 5. Hmmm exciting. Who's the best? Wow, our class won! Good game mates.

Learning from Nature

Image result for nature
There are many lessons to be learned from the natural world. Take, for example, trees. According to my teacher, tree are vital to much of the life on earth. Forests cover almost one third of the land area of our planet. They help protect, sustain and improve mankind’s supplies of fresh water. They purify the air and convert carbon dioxide, water, minerals and sunlight into nutrients and oxygen. Many plants, insects, fungi, worms and other organisms are dependent upon the shade, moisture, and leaf debris provided by trees. Additionaly, the environment provided by trees supports a wide variety of reptiles, birds, and mammals.
What life lessons can we, as ahumans, learn from natures?
1.       Be flexible.
The trees that bend a little to the harmless breeze will later grow to withstand the wild wind. Similarly, if we maintain a degree of flexibility in our attitudes and view points we will not be broken in any strom of criticism or opposition.
2.       Value the little things.
Leaves, though they can be small, are vital to the life of a tree. Similarly, expressions of encouragement and appreciation, whether it be by spoken word or in the form of a simple “Thank You” card can go a long way to build the spirits of the receiver. If they are wholly restrained, the motivation of others to work with us and support common goals may die at the roots.
3.       Learn to face any difficulty with head high from rivers.
Rivers constantly keep heading towards the sea for its awaited unison. Well aware of the fact that it has a protractred way ahead and the path in intricate, it continues to flow. Human nature has always been evident of choosing the path which has lesser  obstacles and has lesser efforts. If we are to take a few lesson from playful rivers then always, the best lesson would be face every difficulty with equal energy and flow with whatever the outcome is towards the main goal of life.
4.       Learn to love yourself from beaches.
There is a peak time when our daily schedule seems to be monotonous and we feel the utmost necessity of a break. Somewhere where our mind is at peace, where you and your thoughts alone is what matters and horizon is the limit. One such incredible corner that nature provides is beaches and islands. The cities masked with pollution and veiled by chaos tend to make you unaware of your own identity, your healt and mental peace.

Umroh Trip with My Family

My dad, my mom, my sister and I did umroh in Tanah Suci Makkah Al- Mukarramah. At the time, we joined in Makkah Utama Tour. At least 39 people joined in Makkah Utama Tour. We got some uniform clothes and we wore it during umroh. We went to umroh on December 27, 2016. My aunt saw off us at the airport. We went by Emirates Airlanes at Soekarno - Hatta International Airport and transited in Dubai. We were taking flight around 9 hour from Indonesia to Dubai. It was along journey. Even though we took a flight on the plane. We were still doing fardhu prayer by tayamum.
On December 28, we arrived at Dubai International Airport. We were taking flight around 3 hour to Prince Mochammed International Airport. In our planning we did umroh activity as long as 9 days. First of all, we visited Madinah Al-Munawarah for 3 days.
During in Madinah, we stayed in Hilton Hotel and we got a good facility in the hotel. Our hotel was near to the Nabawi mosque so we were doing fardhu prayer in there. We were very amazed when we were coming of Nabawi mosque. Nabawi mosque was so beautiful. Interior and exterior design of Nabawi was very nice. The automatic umbrella surrounded of Nabawi mosque area. It opened automatically at noon and it closed automatically at night.
Furthermore, we could visit Rawddah in the Nabawi mosque (Rawddah is grave of prophet Muhammad) and many people would visit it. As a result, everybody who entered to Rawddah they had to queue. We said Alhamdulillah to Allah SWT, because ould  group could enter Rawddah successfully. We did sunnah prayer in Rauddah direct
. During in Madinah, we bought a lot of kind souvenirs for our family. We visited a shopping center every night. We enjoyed in Madinah city.
After 3 days in Madinah, we went to Makkah city for a days. We went to Makkah by bus and we were taking  a trip as long as 9 hours. When we arrived in Makkah city. We took miqat in Bir Ali. As a woman we couldn’t show our aurat so we were wearing a moslem clothes. Most of us wore a mukena. Where as for a man, they had to wear kain ihram. When we had did miqat in Bir Ali, we went to hotel directly. We stayed in Royal Dar Al Eiman Hotel, Mekkah city. It located in front of Masjidil Haram. We took a rest for a while in the hotel. After that, we did umroh in Masjidil Haram. We saw ka’bah. Then, we did tawaf.
When we did tawaf, we should keep our wudhu. All of us arounded ka’bah 7 times and we said “Labaikkallahumma labbaik labbaikkalaasyarikalaka labbaik innal hamda wanni’mata laka walmuk laa syarikala.” After we had finished tawaf, we did sa’i in safa Marwah. First we started sa’i from Safa to Marwah, then it continued from Marwah to Safa until 7 times. In Makkah we visited some historical places, such as: Padang Arafah, Jabbal Rahmah, etc. Most of us were waiting on the bus. We were also visited Pasar Kurma such as kurma chocolate and kurma candy. LDKS

Hello my friends, now I want to tell you about LDKS (Latihan Dasar Kepemimpinan Siswa).

LDKS is very tiring activity for all students. LDKS held on on 29th September - 1 October 2016You must be know about this, the most terrifying moment in student's life. Hahaha, actually it wasn't really terrifying just a little bit awful. Let's start the story. Well, in there we couldn't use any electronic things, like watch, phone, and the other things like that. During the day in there, it felt like you live in a jail for a thousand years with there's nothing to do. All you can do just obey the rules and that was too boring. There'sno happy moment in there, except when you get food and have a rest. But, you don't have enough time to eat your food and go to sleep. It was really torturing and it happened for 3 days. Can you imagine that ? If you were me, you might think to plan how to escape from that place. But, you can't because it was required by school. So, all we can do just pray to God with hope this moment will end as soon as possible. After that, it's the time to go home. although tiring we benefited greatly from LDKS , such as disciplined, polite, togetherness, save time, etc. until here, yes thank u
