Mecca

Mecca[3] (/ˈmɛkə/) or Makkah (Arabicمكة‎‎ Makkah) is a city in the Hejaz in Saudi Arabia.[4]It is the capital of that kingdom's Makkah Region. The city is located 70 km (43 mi) inland from Jeddah in a narrow valley at a height of 277 m (909 ft) above sea level. Its resident population in 2012 was roughly 2 million, although visitors more than triple this number every year during the hajj ("pilgrimage") period held in the twelfth Muslim lunar month of Dhu al-Hijjah.
As the alleged birthplace of Muhammad and the site of Muhammad's first revelation of the Quran (specifically, a cave 3 km (2 mi) from Mecca),[5][6] Mecca is regarded as the holiest city in the religion of Islam[7] and a pilgrimage to it known as the Hajj is obligatory for all able Muslims. Mecca is home to the Kaaba, by majority description Islam's holiest site, as well as being the direction of Muslim prayer. Mecca was long ruled by Muhammad's descendants, the sharifs, acting either as independent rulers or as vassals to larger polities. It was conquered by Ibn Saud in 1925. In its modern period, Mecca has seen tremendous expansion in size and infrastructure, home to structures such as the Abraj Al Bait, also known as the Makkah Royal Clock Tower Hotel, the world's third tallest building and the building with the third largest amount of floor area. During this expansion, Mecca has lost some historical structures and archaeological sites, such as the Ajyad Fortress.[8] Today, more than 15 million Muslims visit Mecca annually, including several million during the few days of the Hajj.[9] As a result, Mecca has become one of the most cosmopolitan and diverse cities in the Muslim world,[10] despite the fact that non-Muslims are prohibited from entering the city.[11][12]

MEGANTARA 2016

On Saturday, September 10th 2016 ,we can say that it was unforgettable moment for us,student of 3 senior high school. And I was excited for it.

I arrived at 5 am at Lapangan Bali because was part of committe of partcipant
. Around 7.30 am. I help to decorate while the others joined the parade. The parade finished at 10 am.

The attraction was so interesting and very traditional. The one that made me laugh was performance from ts't because the way they played and their gesture was really funny, really. For me, Megantara is different from other festival in other senior high school. Usually they don't show the real culture of Indonesia.

Actually, I was waiting for Changcuters and RAN hehehe.Especially Nino RAN because he is my favorite singer. And I'm so jealous when a girl was taken to the stage by RAN. I want to be her.

Changcuters sang some songs like I Love You Bibeh, Gila - gilaan, Hijrah ke London and Main Serong.

Then finally RAN's performance. I was amazed with they're stable voice. It was complete with amazing confetti. One of my favorite song is "Dekat di Hati". The lyrics is so deep. When they sang the song "Dekat di Hati" everyone turn on the light.

That's all my story about unforgettable event,Megantara :)
